Boozy & mellow. The change seems to happen at around 4 years and it just gets better after that.

Still a sipper. This vintage held onto it's heat.

Deep Deep storage, I think my oldest cellared beer thus far, 03/18/14. Just over 6 years old (almost 6.5). Aged very well! Still a bit of hoppiness with a sweet malty smooth backbone! And still a boozy kick! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Six and a half years later, holds up. Heat gone. Complexity added. Different, but still perfect

I mean, the 2011 was phenomenal and the 2015 was excellent, how could this one be any different?

6 years aging leaves a ton of apricot and oddly enough a good deal of carbonation

Ages very well. Jack R. you’d be proud of me for letting this age this long. Forgot to check this in last night.

The hops are gone, butt there is still a ton of malt. Sweeter than before by a wide margin. The booze, while still present, is still subtle and dangerous. A great start to our anniversary evening.

One of the 5 beers I put in my Das Boot for my Election Night megachug. Representing American beers, and representing excessive extremes.

Wow-this has lasted 6yrs in a crowler-talk about quality!! Malty dank sweetness with a bit of rust - such a special treat, thank you Meg M. & Jon, for this & all the other fab beers you treated us to!!

6+ years. Flavor profile is completely different but in a great way. More like a barley wine now. Caramel candy apple, golden raisins, brown sugar, subtle hops and nice warming boozy finish. Have had many aged and always ages great, just a different brew

Mini vertical with '16 and '17. This one was a bit flat, although that doesn't bother me so much.

Merry Christmas to All! 6+ years old and age is on its side. Boozy, malty sweetness and smooth. Hops stand strong and lingers on the follow thru. Better than the last one 2 years ago.

Coronavirus cellar turd day #290. Bottled 2/17/14. This is really similar to the recent 2013 bottle I had. Completely different than the 2012 and 2016 vintages. 10 more turd days left! Thanks to You're Fragile for consuming a few oz of this :)

Astounding. Time has been most kind to this beer, smoothing out any roughness and creating a hop jewel. Deep malty notes with some florals.
