Glad this was cellared, much needed mellowing. Lost the cherry entirely though. Still delicious. One and done.

Still similar to my review from 5 years ago. Still some chocolate and strong, but held up well for an 8 year old beer. Beer label barely made it, thou.

Sweet but not imbalanced. Port like in fruitiness and oxidation.Cheery, chocolate, breadcrust. For 17% would expect more complexity, but based on friends reviews years ago, sitting on this seems to be the unintentional smart move as the o2 is a positive

10/20/15 bottling. Hearing I should have drank it 2 yrs ago, no carbonation says so. Malt, sweet w/chewy mouthfeel. Imho this is like an aged Immortale w/maraschino cherry in the finish. 17%ABV is hidden.

Still has an ethanol burn but overall pretty tasty and interesting. A heavy Belgium quad kriek?

Pulled from the cellar. I actually shuddered after the first sip. Getting better as it warms but, man, strange brew.

Deep copper color with a very malty / alcoholic nose. Super sweet with a bitterness that cuts right through as one would hope for. At 17% this beer is obviously best sipped.

Not a ton of chocolate at this point. The cherry is nice, but this is so sweet it borders on drinking syrup unfortunately.

Has fallen off a bit, the complexity is mostly gone. Not bad, but I think it’s at the end of its life cycle

Bottled 10/2015- 17% ABV no longer comes through in burn but the booze taste is there. Cherry upfront but after that it is classic Strong Golden Belgium, age was good to this one, good but not great, little carbonation left and sticky in the mouth
