In the mood for hoppiness and to drink two beers tonight. Mistakes were made. Regardless, a WOW! beer by muting the tongue crushing hops and making it a chewier beer

Mother Tree fed

Cellar raid. Leans more towards an American. I got some of the maple and woodier notes. For a barleywine it had way more funk than the majority of this style

Miles Davis' Bitches Brew (2010) fed

Cellar dive/purge. Time has done good and bad. Herbs have vastly softened and abv is really hidden. Notes of soy sauce and slight herbaceousness does not help.

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA fed

A chewy, slightly caramel taste. Nose warns of booze, taste doesn't portray it. Slight hop bite finish and a delicious lingering finish. Can't wait to do a Heaven/Hell with both Utopias versions.

Drinking to celebrate a long time friend, on her b'day. Miles apart, but still close as friends.... Much better on a clean pallete. I get the fluffiness, beyond the head, and just an easy drinker. Got a wee bit of tangerine in there.

BFLN. Was really excited about this. Got the mango and some juiciness. The grains in this threw me off. I will try with a cleaner palete before rating

faint whiff of black strap molasses w/boozy notes. mouthfeel surprisingly not heavy. caramel and roasty notes. almost get dry notes like in sake. faint woodiness in the finish. abv hidden too well. cellaring hopefully blends all better

Fruit-Full Fort fed

This is berry forward! Nose of raspberry w/some in the first sip. Black/elderberry is more in the finish. Abv is almost non-existent. This was my post work happy hour share w/a neighbor. This definitely cellars well

Higher Math fed

10/20/15 bottling. Hearing I should have drank it 2 yrs ago, no carbonation says so. Malt, sweet w/chewy mouthfeel. Imho this is like an aged Immortale w/maraschino cherry in the finish. 17%ABV is hidden.

KBS Espresso fed

Espresso-bomb! Nose gives it away and the finish stays with you. 4.65. Well worth the $...well done FBC!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) fed

Fudge in a glass, if only the mouthfeel was heavier. Chocolate and all the other essence of fudge. This is what I had hoped CBS would have been like! Cellaring plans...activated!

Immort Ale (2003) fed

Time has done this well since my 1st check in here for it, 6+ yrs ago. Chewy, toffee, still slightly syrupy. ABV way hidden. Life is short, you deserve a cellar dive this weekend. R.I.P. (Dr.) Michael Varhol..."ack, ack...and bye, for now"

Campfire Amplifier fed

Light mouthfeel w/roasty malt. Definitely can tell it is a milk stout. Getting cocoa powder n vanilla. Graham cracker/marshmallow/cinnamon is MIA. Expected more, more of a big chewy malt bomb for cold weather. Definitely can put a few down w/no probs.

Vibrant P'ocean fed

Drinks way better now than first try. Notes of sourness. Some faint wine gone bad notes I would expect from the style. Great collab
