Rumors of My Demise

IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale

A throwback style: a black IPA with dank and piney aromas and a dry roasty flavor.

Not going to rate this one. I feel it has lost a lot of it's qualities, due to it's age. Still drinkable but very little hoppiness left.

Another really interesting one! I've never had a black IPA before. It's not as creamy as a stout but it has a similar rich mouthfeel, more bitterness, and a roasted coffee aftertaste. Not my thing but really cool

This one's not doing it for me. With my eyes closed I could almost mistake this for a session. It finishes a little more like a classic cask aged, but it's just not my favorite.

Fair amount of pine. Roasty and increasingly so. Dank finish.

Creamy head, interesting aroma blending roasty, dank, and piney characteristics, dry roasty flavor, and creamy mouthfeel.

Second beer- toasted, roasted, medium bodied. Love a good black IPA

What I love about this style is the pine. This had all the pine. There's roast, but it's mostly clean pine.
