Mild Case of the Jitters

Mild - Dark

How about some cold brew with your cold brew? We combined a classic maltforward, highly sessional dark mild ale with light-roast cold-brewed coffee for a refreshing and quaffable experience. It was brewed with Organic Pale Ale malt, naked oats for body, and a blend of crystal & chocolate malts then cold aged on whole bean Organic Honduran Finca Terrerito coffee from our pals at Rise Up Roasters. Aromas of espresso, cocoa and toffee dominate the nose with notes cold-brewed coffee, light roast malt and caramel rounding out the flavor.

Not bad considering I don’t love coffee. Much lighter than a stout or porter.

On cask, lots of coffee on the nose, malty and creamy.

Cask version. Coffee flavor is perfect, but would have liked more malt (it is also under 4% ABV, and is pretty light)

Mild is a good way to describe this. Definitely a coffee base but not very ‘in your face’. Could use a bit of an ABV boost to give it a bit of a kick.
