Lambic - Kriek

Kriek Boon Mariage Parfait consists of 1 year-old heavy lambic flavoured with overripe cherries, 400 grams per litre. Longer aging in small oak barrels gives it its special flavour. The lambic is bottled and stored in an air-conditioned room for six months of secondary fermentation. Kriek Mariage Parfait has an alcohol volume of 8%. It keeps for a minimum 20 years, and is ready to drink after about 2 years in the bottle. This is perfection in kriek beers. Try it and admit that it surpasses the best wine. The casks give this beer its fine oaky flavour with hints of vanilla and cloves. It boasts a wide mouth with a warm body and roundness reminiscent of dried cherries and wild tastes. This is soft mildness personified.

The 2019 harvest batch is now hitting the shelves, slowly replacing the excellent 2018 batch. This one is younger so a little bit sharper around the edges. Stock up on the 2018 batch as long as they are available is my advice. Still my favourite Kriek.

Мне нравится что тут не тупо вишня и компот, а именно ламбик дичка, начиная с аромата и вкус сух кислота норм такая. Нравится что доминанта не вишни а стиля. Но до классик Парфаята недотяг..

Veel zuurder dan de "normale" kriek boon, dat maakt hem wel een stuk interessanter. Geuze in de neus, complex in de mond. Kersen zit in de afdronk, niet voorin. Lekker! In zijn stijl de beste die ik tot nu toe heb gehad!

Intense red colour (also the foam!). Very fruity nose, intense flavours of cherries. Perfect balance between sweet and sour. In short, a perfect Kriek !
