Rotten apple cider pushing through leather and a bit of nice brett puke. So far, so good. Taste is soft but bitter in a funky, yeasty, somewhat fruity manner. The basic elements are there, but one cannot avoid a sense of dilution in the taste.

Really light on flavor. Good, but it’s got a lot less “going on” than any other gueuze I’ve had.

Ei miellytä Boonon gueuze samaan tapaan kuin muiden. Makeampi, mausta ei löydy juuri syvyyttä.

Vaikea arvioida kun ei oo aiemmin tullut juotua geuzeja. Maussa on vähän samaa kuin belgisiidereissä.

Quite mellow, some funk, mold and citric acid. Not sour enough. Not bad, not great.

Unfortunately I think this one may have gone a bit "bad". Not bad in the sense that it tastes awful or got infected or even super oxidized. It's definitely not as complex as I've come to expect. A little barn-y on the nose, sweet and lightly tart.

Bit sour smell. Sour sweet taste. Bit tart. Really refreshing.

Nachtrag vom 08.08.20 Mehr als drei Jahre nach dem letzten Check-in würde ich sagen: Ist sehr gut gealtert, schön erfrischend-prickelnde Cidre-Note gemischt mit Apfel und Holzigkeit (nicht holzigem Apfel). Karbo passend, Säure im moderaten Bereich.

Zuur, maar niet tè. Geen citrus maar meer azijn, samen met duidelijke zoetigheid van appel en bijzondere gist.
