My beer from Denmark for my Euros 2024 of beer! This is a proper west coast DIPA and I approve. Appropriately bitter, strong, slightly resinous. Crystal clear amber colour. They understood the assignment, and I am entirely happy with this.

Classic Gueuze W

This is nice! Very coffee-y but with a little sweetness.

Lean In W

ALSO very good! Great selection at this venue and so far all winners. The zingy grapefruitiness is very nice, and again a nice soft texture.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio W

Next venue, back on the proper Belgian and is Cantillon Kriek the best kriek? Surely yes. It’s got all the rich fruity flavours but no silly sickly sweetness here, it’s just the perfect drinkable balance.

Nath (2022) W

When in Moeder Lambic, drink the lambic! And can’t resist some more Cantillon after my visit yesterday. This is pretty easy drinking by lambic standards. Smells funkier than it tastes. Tart.

Lambic Grenache Blanc (2021) W

There isn’t an Untappd serving style for “poured out of a jug the barman pulled out of the fridge” but maybe there should be! Beautifully winey and light, hint of crisp apple.

Rosé de Gambrinus W

Third taster. Sour and sweet delicate raspberry deliciousness.

Single Barrel 2 Year Lambic W

Done the tour, now drinking the beers. Really am living my best life in Brussels today!!

Classic Gueuze (2022) W

Taster number 2. Classic for a reason.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) W

Initially very sharp and sour, then lots of nice hoppy dryness. I also think it tastes like black tea with lemon in it. This is going to be a nice Sunday afternoon sipper!

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2021) W

Tastes very young. Sharpness initially, little bit oaky, but under-developed.

Oude Kriek Boon (2015) W

Sweet jammy fruity one. Much more straightforward. Really not sour. A bit meh.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2015) W

Well helloooooooooo. Mega sharp sourness to make your tongue pucker up, followed by a nice round aged jammy sweetness. Welcome back to the pub 🍻

I Wish Gluten Free IPA W

It’s quite a dark, malty, toffee flavoured IPA

For me Açai is not an obvious choice to throw into a beer, but this is better than I expected! Interesting berry tropical flavour, and nicely sour. I think a third is all you need though...

Rick’s Spontan W

Apparently I’ve had this before! Agree with my previous view that it’s a little bit vinegary, sour-wise, but I think I’m preferring it this time. Finding it refreshing.
