Getting a ton of coffee with this one. More than usual. Still a good BA stout.

Nice BA stout with notes of chocolate and coffee. Fairly thin for a BA stout with 12% abv. Roasty bitterness but it doesn’t linger too long.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2014) Smith

Smooth, rich flavor. Kind of sweet but on the bitter side on the backend. Not bad but I can’t see this as a 4.75 rated beer.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Smith

I can now tell the difference between this type of stout and something that is barrel aged. Definitely on the thin side. Lowering my rating as I don’t think it stacks up to many other beers now. Maybe it didn’t age well?

Amazing find at Richardson Beer & Wine. 3 year aged. One of my favorites. Great rich chocolate and roasty flavor. Not too sweet. No rating change.

Nice aroma. Really smooth. I can taste all the flavors including the sea salt. Could use a little more carbonation. Definitely a pastry stout as it is almost too sweet for me. The salt may knock it back a little. I like it.

Lots of flavors going on but they are overpowered by the coffee bitterness and it lingers.

Reduced rating from my all-time-high since I’ve experienced much better beers since the last time I had it. Still a solid stout.

I would call this watery but the flavors and smell are really good.

One of the greats. Smells good. Strong chocolate, coffee, and bourbon flavors. A little bitter at first but it doesn’t linger. Great stout.

Watery. Strong cinnamon at first. Just OK. Doesn’t live up to the normal KBS expectations.

Panther Cub (2021) Smith

Good porter. There is a slight bitterness in the finish that I’m not loving.
