Good, if it was a pastry stout I’d call it my fav of those. Sweet, but not ridiculous like those. Sugary burnt chocolate

A bit flat, real good though, lots of coffee and chocolate milk, beautiful.

I appreciate this more having done the tour and understanding to some extent how it’s made. One of their stronger ones at 7%. It’s not too taniny, not musty like Merlo, but bright and crisp, w some bubbles.

Tart, quite dry, wine-like, nice sour-patch thing in the finish. Bright.

Very nice, had it at the brewery, a special place. The bar back mentioned how nowadays, anyone can be a bar back, but back in the day, if you poured the whole bottle into someone’s glass, you’d be canned on the spot.

Really really nice. Perfect mix of sweet and tartness, first beer in Brussels. Thanks to Tom for the idea.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter
Kinda like cherry coke, bright, sweet, not overly boozy, vg

Mmm, vg. Like Russian hot cocoa or Black Forest cake. Not sweet. Dark choc, yum. Glad the barrel aging is more in the bg. Best KBS I’ve had

Sweet, maple syrup? Vanilla aftertaste, nice, like a sugar wafer. Booze are there but enough other stuff going on to make it interesting. Bright, unlike the bfast stout.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017)
Aging helps for a change. Fruitier, less carbonation, more wine, less roastinessness. Vg

Was a nice tan head a sec ago...get lots of chocolate syrup? Tiny bit metallic...lingers all over, brightish. Hmm, it’s a bit off somehow, too bright.

Despite the pic, hardly any carb. Reminds me of hotd doggie claws. Very good for what it is, a big malt bomb sipper for winter nights. Still have the signed 2007 edition left. Thx again Dave

Haven’t had this in awhile. Must be fall...perfect for the weather. Lots of dark roasty malts. Perfect.
