120 Minute IPA (2023) Shavkunov
First time trying it fresh and it doesn't feel as raw hoppy as I expected. Lots of hop oils and herbal character and surprisingly quite oxidized. Old one is definitely more balanced, more towards the hoppy barley wine

Not sure what's the magic here. Thin and dry and quite acidic and lactic with lots of unsupported sweetness. Feels like a failed attempt at making "pastry lambik"

Dry, with nice vinous acidity, red wine some red and dark berry tones and goid amount lambik funk

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2022) Shavkunov
Retrying at the source. Confirming awesome complexity, dried stonefruit, raisins, nuts, oak.

Acetaldehyde! In a lambik! Wtf? Green apples, sweet apples, pears. Still pleasant but I expected way more complexity

Young, easy drinking gueuze. Obviously not much complexity, some lemony qualities and nice mouthfeel

Unusual. Quite spicy and herbal with a bitter background. Citrusy and zesty. Not a fan overall.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2017) Shavkunov
Good dry funky gueze. Obviously it's more about collab line up than actual beer, nevertheless enjoyable.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2017) Shavkunov
Yep, it's hoppy even after all these years. Grassy, floral earthy, grapey tones combined with aged lambik dryness and funk. And a very nice bitter background.

Nice berries tones if somewhat simplistic (especially for Cantillon). But this simplicity gives huge drinkability

Lou Pepe Kriek (2020) Shavkunov
Divine cherry stone qualities and funk what else can one want from kriek?

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie es Belge Shavkunov
Cantillon La Vie. Full bodied lambic with lot's of barrel character. Super complex dried fruits, stonefruits, white grapes. Everything we love!

Intense, full, complex. Fusion of sweet wine qualities and lambic sourness and funk that works really well. Dry aftertaste with some tannins.

[LCI] Make no mistake looking at the style, this beer is no CDA but rather rich and dense imperial stout. There's some hoppyness on the background but it's perceived more like some funky twist rather than hoppy tones. Nevertheless it's very enjoyable!

Oude Geuze Boon (2017-2018) Shavkunov
Maybe it's the cheapest true lambic you can get in Prague still it's definitely decent. Simple but has everything you want from style: funk, bretts, nice sourness and easydrinking. Just a bit too bitter (hoppy) for mussels :)

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2017) Shavkunov
Cantillon is always a treat. And it's really awesome how much complexity and smoothness it gets over years. Big breatty and stonefruit tones, light breadyness, balanced sourness. Thanks ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) .. !

Rosé de Gambrinus (2019) Shavkunov
Still young with a lot of fruits. Raspberry, raspberry seed, some strawberry and vinous tones. A bit too sweet for my taste ate the moment needs to dry more

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2017) Shavkunov
Age is felt here. Dry and woody, not very sour and funk is calmed down a bit. Stonefruit, cherry plum, muscat wine tones. Really complex.
