This definitely has some mole flavor to it. Very good! I was thinking it was going to be spicier than it is, tho.

Excellent aroma of sweet peaches and some cream. Flavor follows, but not as tasty as the aroma would have you think.

Snowbound Vanilla Porter Powell
A pretty tasty porter. The vanilla seems to come to a screeching halt on the finish with a robust combination of coffee and Atkinsons peanut butter bars. Kinda harsh finish.

Not my favorite KBS, but it is pretty good. The blueberry adds an interesting layer of flavor to this great line of beer by founders.

Cellared for nearly 3 years (bottled 10/21/2020). It aged well. Lots of espresso, some cacao, bit of bourbon barrel flavors.

KBS is always good. I don’t taste much if any cherry in this one.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Powell
Very good. Strong, woody, dark fruits, sweet malts. BIG! All the flavors are big!

Very rich and tasty. Like a coco dusted truffle with a touch of cinnamon.

Vanilla coffee on the nose. A smooth combination of vanilla, coffee, and brown maltiness really ties the room together.

Roasted malts and dark toasted bread up front. There are some high level bitter notes along with some dark fruits like prunes or dates. Good and complex.

Aged till today. Drinking with and in celebration of Katherine’s birthday. Aroma of cherry and sweet vermouth. Flavors follow suit with a solid malt backbone.

Wow. Dangerously (because of its high abv) like a red jolly rancher. I have never cared for any gose or sour style beer, but this one is much more sweet than sour.

Very smooth almost creamy feel to it, I imagine from all the oats. Orange citrus and I think some vanilla and a touch of strawberry flavors. Pretty good, Dogfish, I don’t think y’all ever disappoint me. Thanks for the beer, Maria!

I can’t put my finger on why, but I’m not a fan of this one. I’m not usually a fan of beers with maple though.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Powell
Really good. Rich and fudge-y, coffee and bourbon...just a bit of maple. I’m not a maple in beer fan, and this one’s level is great.

Takes a couple sips to be able to move past the tartness of raspberries. Then there is big, rich dark chocolate along with roasted malts.
