Barrel Aged night 2 with Allison C. And Debi C. Expecting more. Chocolate on the nose. The KBS coffee is present with hints of the pepper. Maybe more pepper and chocolate with less coffee? Good not great.

Mortal Bloom Coatoam

Beer of the month. Minimal haze. Slight bitterness on the finish. Vague citrusness. One and done.

4 Giants Starcatcher Haze Coatoam

The 4 giants variants continue to impress. Collab with Greta Van Fleet. Glad to find this on tap. Plenty hazy. This one has abundance of tropical notes and medium hop bite. Lunch with my BFF Steve and his wife.

All Day Chill Day Coatoam

Last day of great weather. Tried their All Day variant, like the rest. The hops just aren’t my vibe, somewhat bitter start to finish. Lacks body.

4 Giants Tropical Treasure (2023) Coatoam

Rehydration required for the setup of the neighborhood block party. Fragrant and smooth. Crushable.

Chocolate Cherry KBS Coatoam

Reminders of days past when KBS was gold. Plenty of coffee and a bit of chocolate. The cherry is present and is about the right amount for me where it does not overwhelm the pour. Date night.

Last birthday beer for today. taken from the basement archive. Was hoping it would have aged a little better. Slightly acidic. Decent coffee nose. No chocolate in it for me.

Mothership Series: Blushing Padre Coatoam

Heavy raspberry. The tequila barrel is forward too and goes over the top of the raspberry.

Green Zebra 2022 Coatoam

Night out with daughter and SIL. Great times. Medium tart with the fruity lime notes.

Unremarkable. Bitter finish with hints of grapefruit.

They missed the mark here. Too much peach that cancels the IPA. A beer in search of a style IMO
