Drogone Lambic (2023) Petersen
Shocked to get this on the open market. Like a bit of a watery, tart, red wine. Very enjoyable, but not particularly noteworthy

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2013) Petersen
Lucky enough to score a bottle. Nice mature gueuze—plenty of sour barnyard character, orange pith-y bitterness, firm barrel presence. Mouthfeel a bit more creamy than usual for this style, but in a good way

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Petersen
Classic geuze profile — dry, crackery minerality. A touch on the sour side. Super spritzy

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2014) Petersen
31 Jan 2014 bottling. Sharp edges are largely smoother down. Distinctly sour, but light on acetic character. Nice underlying earthiness to provide backbone.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021) Petersen
Usually not my favorite Cantillon, but surprised and delighted to find this on a shelf locally for cheap. Raspberry comes through beautifully without much of the acetic/sharp character I recall from previous bottles.

Zwanze 2020 - Brettrave Petersen
Wanted to like this beer (love beet beers) and really loved the sweet beety front end of it, but the bitterness at the back end clashed hard with the rest of the beer—not worth drinking

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2013) Petersen
Oldest gueuze in my cellar. Still comes across as remarkably fresh. Overall impression is lightly soured orange juice/rind with a hint of vinegar (in the best way of course). Surprised that there is a touch of bitterness/pith that braces it nicely.

Fortunate to get this one again. Apricot flavor and carb are milder than the last bottle, but still a delightful summer treat.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2013) Petersen
My wife says that any day is a special occasion… Shocked at how young this one seems. All the character of fresh still lambic—cheesiness, underripe lemon, sour grapefruit juice, etc. The wood/vanilla of other vintages I’ve had is absent here. But enoyable
