World Wide Stout (2023) Geier

Excellent beer. Dark fruit with hints of toffee. Warm and boozy with a dry, bitter finish.

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA (2023) Geier

Holy wow. A boozy, viscous concoction of oak, oats, and caramel chews. Notes reminiscent of a high profile barleywine but softer? Quite unique and hard to nail down. Let’s just say it’s amazing.

Geuze (2024) Geier

What do you say? It’s Cantillon. It tastes like Brussels.

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018) Geier

Definitely lost a bit of the depth. Sweet, burnt caramel balanced with a dull bitter finish. Booze is present.

KBS Espresso (2020) Geier

Booze soaked oak helps cut through the espresso bitterness. Nice roasty undertones from start to finish. I’m liking this more than the 2019.

KBS Hazelnut Geier

4.10/5.0 Massive hazelnut hit. Roasted chocolatey malt and warming booze throughout.

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout (2017) Geier

Aged well but not as good as fresh, imo. The sharp edges have softened but there’s a hint of soy sauce this time around. Otherwise, it’s a chocolate vanilla boozy beast (as it’s meant to be).

Sweet Repute Geier

LCI. Sweet white grapes and simple syrup transition to alcohol heat and a sharp bitter finish. Allspice and baked apple notes if you let it warm.

4 Giants Hazy IPA Geier

Hmmm. A decent effort from a Michigan brewery. Actually better than anything I can get in Louisville.

120 Minute IPA (2021) Geier

I’m not a huge fan of bitter IPAs but this is really amazing. Plus, the 120s really do age well.

Bottle Shop Series Belgian Twist Geier

Very good. Nice and Belgiany. Noticeably sweeter than the standard tripel and it works. Tiny bit soapy but solid overall.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Geier

6 yr vertical. Interesting. At room temp, this one tastes more mature than a 1 yr old. More bourbon notes, fig, baking spice, coffee, and baking chocolate.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) Geier

6 yr vertical. Less dark fruit but still sweet. More baking spice and coffee notes. Similar to the 2019 but this one seems more balanced.

Hazy-O! Geier

Fruity but not too fruity. Wheaty with a mild hop bitter finish. I’d drink it again but it wouldn’t be my first choice

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Geier

Love it. Really aging well. I’m getting lots of warm booze, vanilla, spice and dried fruit, followed by a nice coffee hit

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Geier

Very balanced for an over the top, one and done beer. It’s a boozy macchiato, topped with fudge sauce.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2013) Geier

Aged well. Very Belgian-y. Crisp pear, effervescent, followed by champagne dryness. Fairly complex.
