120 Minute IPA (2006) Mac

12oz bottle. Wild how well this has held up. Also highlights how different their brewing techniques are now compared to what they used to put in bottles. Sweet and still plenty happening. Booze. Honeycomb.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) Mac

Shared bottle. Looks a bit oily, but otherwise what you expect. Very little oxidation for a 5 year old bottling and quite smooth. Drink now if you're still holding one.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2005) Mac

Bottle pour at Snallygaster 2023. Pours a very murky orange with a solid finger of white head. Nose is insane for a bottle with this many years. Flavor too. Funk and citrus rind, potpourri. Leather and cheese rind. Body feels 5 years old.Exceptional

Iris (2004) Mac

Bottle pour at Snallygaster 2023. Still, clear gold. Nose is very lemony and leathery. Light herbs. Finishes a touch thin with acid. Still a lot of character for a beer brewed 20 years ago.

Oude Geuze Villa Servais 2021 Mac

2021 bottling. Clear, fizzy gold. Big white head. Nose has funk and durian and lemon off the top. Grass and straw. Simple grist leads to green grape and papaya. Very bright. High carb is great along with the acid. Bone dry too. Drinks easy

Iris (2018) Mac

2018 bottling at a beer share. Very murky, almost looked like a hazy IPA with the thickness of the orange body. Funk was muted and there was a heavy fruit character I didn't really. Lacked bright acidity too. Guessing this bottle is past it's day

Geuze Boon Sélection Mac

2022 vintage sampled at Max's Belgian Fest 2023. Pours a murky gold, lemon, candy, herbs. Lightly tart but sweet in that Boon way. Nicely balanced.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2008) Mac

2010 on the cork, big pop and gushed a little. Lightly murky purple, cloudy pinkish head. Nose is musty raspberry and Bleu cheese, funky dryer lint and lightly vegetal. Flavor is jammy and cheesy, so much berry though and it'd so clearly raspberry.damn

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) Mac

2011 bottling, big funky nose, lemony, rotting orange, some green grape. Flavor is acetic and lemony, orange, leather and funk. Still drinking well.

Rosé de Gambrinus Mac

2014 bottling consumed in Oct 2020. Strawberry jam bursts out of the nose, cherries and raspberry and that lovely base geueze. Flavor shows the age, sherry and leather to go with more dried fruit. Medium acid.
