KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) Anglemyer

The heat is forward and very brief, great beer, would like the heat to hang around a bit longer.

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout (2017) Anglemyer

In this 2017, I notice the vanilla has been overtaken the last 6 years by the bourbon. The bourbon has become very forward and is present throughout. The coffee notes arrive mid through and linger on the finish along with the bourbon. Very boozy.

4 Giants Tropical Treasure Anglemyer

Tropical and hazy. Very nice

I’m not a seltzer guy because they usually taste like TV static. However, these are the bomb diggity and I can pound these all summer.

KBS Blueberry Anglemyer

So back in 2018 (at least right around that time) I had a taproom only blueberry cobbler stout at the Grand Rapids location. To this day, best beer of my life. This is not that. It’s a great KBS and the blueberry tartness cuts the malt of the KBS.

Green Zebra Mango Anglemyer

So far, this is my favorite of the green zebra series. The mango is prominent but still very clean drinking.

Can definitely taste the peach. Like others in the series it’s refreshing and clean.

Nice and tart, the pineapple didn’t really come through until way late. Very light at that. Thin and refreshing.

Great KBS base flavor, the dark chocolate and coffee flavors really pop but not so much on the cherry.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Anglemyer

A staple of my life, available nearly any state I live in and a flavor like no other. Bourbon, chocolate, and coffee.

Backwoods Bastard Anglemyer

A very smooth bourbon flavor throughout. Just enough sweetness (like a raisin) with thin mouth.

Siracusa Nera Anglemyer

A 2020 brew, doesn’t seem to be at heavy on the port wine flavor. Seems like a better balance this year.

That’s the perfect amount of sweetness, with a nice tequila finish that creeps. Very good

Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse Blueberry Anglemyer

A tart forward and throughout, a nice sweet blueberry finish. Only thing that could make this better is a bit more ABV.

A smooth medium body liquid waffle with coffee. Very good

Marvelroast Anglemyer

A creamy coffee flavor throughout, I love this one because it doesn't sit heavy and fill you up like a coffee stout. Great flavor.

Siracusa Nera Anglemyer

Reminiscent of a port wine with a chocolate/coffee forward. Pretty decent.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Anglemyer

This one really blends with the base well, a deep, rich chocolate flavor throughout with just enough booze. Might be my favorite of the KBS renditions so far.

Big Lushious Anglemyer

A smooth dessert stout, heavy chocolate and raspberry finish. Pretty tasty.
