Curmudgeon's Better Half P

2018 vintage. Well it’s seems like this vintage was in its prime in 2020. Now it’s just fusel barrel muddy bourbon notes that hint at apple flavors. Interesting but dropping the rating .50 from 3 years ago.

Blue Hen P

Big Worse (2014) P

Still has some life in it at 9 years old. It’s sweet boozy hot then malty with still some hop bitterness lingering on. Lacking in a rich complexity.

Kernza Pils P

Getting made fun of for my beer matching my shirt.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) P

Great roasty vintage stout for a snow day. Maple brings smoothness. Little coffee taste remains. And the booziness is mellowed.

Olde School P

Unsure of the vintage since the bottle on date rubbed off. From somewhere between 2016-2018. Low carbonation boozy tasting but finishes huge on dates, leathery and malty tastes you practically can chew on. Happy New Year!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) P

Big fudgy flavors. Chocolate creaminess. A tiny amount of barrel. Maybe a tad too sweet for my liking.

KBS Espresso (2020) P

The finish of this beer is great. Lingering chocolate mocha.

Curmudgeon's Better Half P

2018 vintage. The boozy fusel notes are still there at first but it mellows into a sweetness of maple syrup. The finish is perfect malty/sweet interplay. Upping the rating .25 from my first tasting 2 yrs ago.
