Smells maybe like blueberries, but taste is not strongly fruity. Very sour. A little herbal, perhaps. Quite good.

Subtle yuzu notes. Clean and easy drinkin'!

Nelson Sauvignon / Sauvin Brut K

A bit Bretty, herbal, bright.

Spontanblueberry K

Quite good. A wee bit funky, but a nice blueberry flavor.

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne 2018 - 2019 K

Aww yeah. The good stuff on the cheap (relatively). Oak, honey, the uzh'.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018) K

Smells like a bright cherry compote. Taste is somehow bitter... in a good way? Very weird, but an enjoyable kriek.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2021) K

Flat, dilly/oaky. Dry and tart, but not as sour as some of the other Cantillons.

Fou' Foune K

Pretty effing fruity smell. Taste is quite sour, so it's PROBABLY not super fresh, but still very, very tasty.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2020) K

Sour and raspberry-ish. Always great.

Cantillo Cuvée Des Champions (2021) K

Cuvée des Champions is back, apparently (as distinct from Gilloise by way of English hops). Smells very floral, a little herbal. Smooth and elegant. A would-be-daily-drinker.

Saint Lamvinus (2021) K

(Assuming it's the 2021 because it's on tap.) Funky smell, but it's actually not crazy sour, not super grapey. Smooth and quaffable.

Trousseau Lambic K

There's a Jura theme in the beer selection at Cantillon this year, but this is the only one that we're trying. Smell is red wine vinegar, but taste is more watermelon + grapes. Sour Jolly Rancher finish. Initial sip actually tastes like a Jura wine.

Magic Lambic (2020) K

Very heady after opening (rare for a Cantillon, as far as I remember). Raspberry and blueberry smell. Vanilla noticeable in the taste, along with some funkiness. Nice and tasty little compote.

Zwanze 2018 - Manneken Pise K

Oak, honey, subtle white wine smell. Smooth and barely carbonated. Similar to the 3F vin jaune that we had the other day, but less oaky.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021) K

Very explosive opening. Bright stone fruit, citrus. "Fresh" and refreshing. Quite tasty.

Mamouche (2021) K

Elderflower taste. Smooth, grassy.

Cantillon Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2017-2018) K

Soft and flat. Woody, mild, pleasant.

Nath (2021) K

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised, but it DOES taste like rhubarb. Pretty subtle and smooth, though - not terribly sour.

Zwanze 2020 - Brettrave K

Smells like fresh beets directly from the ground. A true beet lambic.

Zwanze 2021 - Parasol K

Citrus rind, herbal, floral. Obviously, sour. Interesting, complex, and rare, but I would take something like a Fou'Foune over this any day.

Cuvée Moeder Lambic (Kriek) K

Nice and cherryful. Probably not as fresh as the '21 Kriek, but certainly not bad.

Kriek 100% Lambic (2021) K

Cherry compote flavor. So darn fresh! Sour but not incredibly puckering.

Fou’ Foune (2021) K

Bright, fresh stone fruit. Nice and sour, but probably not as puckering as it will get with more age. Can't go wrong with this stuff!

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise 2021 K

Guess where I'm at, suckas? Anyway, this one is certainly "young" tasting. Fresh, "green" hoppyness, nice sourness. Quite the pleasant little beer, albeit a little on the watery side.

Kriek Boon (2018) K

Cherry pie! Easy drinkin'. Tart, but not nearly as sour as higher-end krieks.
