Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) M.

While still good, this wasn't as good as I remembered it. This leads me to believe that maybe KBS is better fresher so you can get the tones of chocolate and coffee more pronounced. This was giving off bourbon and soy sauce flavors, with some malty tones.

Big Lushious M.

This was good but I think I waited too long to crack this. I suspect it would have been better fresher. Nice and roasty, coffee, malty, bitter chocolate but the raspberry flavoring was a bit off-putting.

Panther Cub (2021) M.

Love Founders barrel aged brews. This one had been sitting just long enough to mellow the bourbon and alcohol. A great roasty balance of maple, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, dark malts and sweet bourbon. Very solid!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge M.

Excellent brew as expected! Big flavors of fudge, chocolate, maple syrup, coffee and bourbon. It's sweet to be sure, but balanced very well.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio M.

Been a while since I had this great brew! Definitely a gold standard. Sour, refreshing, great yeast profile and subtle barrel notes. Bottle says it's good till 2039, would love to try this aged.

Underground Mountain Brown M.

From last night. Starting off the year strong! A great brown ale with a heavy bourbon presence followed by dark malts and coffee.

Green Zebra M.

Backlog from 03-26-20 always a warm weather favorite. Refreshing, salty, sour, watermelon flavors.

KBS Espresso (2020) M.

This one's from 09-19-20 Love me some KBS of any variety! I recall big chocolate, coffee and barrel notes on this one.

Marvelroast (2020) M.

From 09-22-20 Remember liking this one more than expected. Great flavorful coffee ale. The vanilla, milk sugar, cocoa and coffee all balanced well!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) M.

Into the September backlogs had this on 09-27-20 One of my absolute favs. Heavy, smooth, rich, sweet with a spicy kick. Shame its going only hiatus.
