Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) F

Pretty dang good. Liked the ‘17 over the years but this is hitting the spot at 4yrs. Roasted booze, oaky and chocolate.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) F

Rich and full of chocolate flavor with a hint of booze. Not quite flat, but head goes quickly. The last year of their seasonal annual release, hoping the next one is better, found my buried 2020 4pk so fingers crossed.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) F

Holding well, seems a wee thin but rich chocolate and roasted coffee flavors. Booziness in check, but no traditional barrel flavors of wood and vanilla coming through. 30 mins in and getting a hint of coconut before the bitter roast. Not the best KBS imo

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) F

Still hanging in there, bitter coffee roast, some vanilla left. Not as boozy as I remember or the 15 and 16.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4% F

Working my way to 2019! On the thin side but another boozy one. More vanilla from the barrel aging, sweetness not as prevalent in the 2015. Surprising carbonation for 8yrs. Roasted malts and chocolate flavors linger. She was a beaut!

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2015) F

2nd to last ‘15, need to get going on these. 9 yrs and…little carbonation left. Still boozy strong. Sweet with dried fruits. No thinner than 2 yrs ago. Will go thru ‘19 over the next days

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2015) F

7 yrs on and following a 22 and 21 BCS… a sweet hit up front but fades almost as quick with dried fruit flavors. Thinning a bit but solid stout still kickin

World Wide Stout (2016) F

Still a boozy beast of an ale. Roasted malt and chocolate flavors fading, approaching an old strong ale profile

KBS Hazelnut (2022) F

Hazelnut forward nuttiness in a traditionally strong flavored BBA, but does fade quickly to roast coffee and chocolate. The variants have been nice to try, but straight up KBS is the way for me. Glad I have 5 year vertical 4pks

Beer Geek Breakfast F

Breakfast for dinner? Hell yeah! So nice to be able to get this on draft and such a sharp flavor departure from the black castle! Big coffee notes with a soft ale base of oats. Yum

KBS Espresso (2020) F

Sharp sweet coffee bite with some booziness. Not bad but expected smoother. Will let set for a bit in glass, and others to rest with their regular KBS brethren.
