Single Barrel 2 Year Lambic Newman
Young(ish) unblended lambic tasting like a dry apple cider vinegar but with very restrained acidity. Fantastic start to the holiday.

BB advent 12. 2nd check in. Different serving style. Bottled Nov 21. Smells like a lovely westy. Marmalade & caramel. Taste isn’t great. Big chewy toffee malt body but with virtually no hops to back it up. Whisper of citrus bitterness right at the end.

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal Newman
This stuff poured, smelled and drank like a deep cherry port. No real wild/spontan notes to mention but a nice oakeyness. Sweet and syrupy and a touch of tartness from the cherries. Slightly one dimensional for a beer like this but delicious all the same

Tannic grape skins, apple juice, oak, musty brett and yeast esther character. Real special. Did not disappoint for my first Cantillon.

Loved this. Grapefruit, peach, slight grape, big pine. Huge bitter whack that compliments the sweet, juicy fruit flavours present. Beautiful colour. First one from either of these guys, deffo ones to look out for it seems.

Smells sweet and lemony. Beautiful pale yellow colour. Big foamy head. Crisp and refreshing, just what you want for a sunny evening like this. Good bitterness to it, more than a typical lager. Lemon aroma carries through to the gob as well. Good.

Subtle, but the more you drink the more you pick up on. Slightly grassy on the nose and in the mouth, the lemon side of citrus, then the hoppy bitterness, again very muted but it’s there. It’s missing the fruit and big chewy mouthfeel of really good NEIPA

Another day. Another raspberry Berliner weisse. This one delivers on the tart aspect more. Another little M&S ditty this. Good.

Another fucking classic. Always there to satisfy your cheap lambic needs. This stuff is like a slightly funky cherry pop and I will never get tired of it.
