Probably 10-ish years old? Age has given this a slight licorice flavor. Roast, char. Not ashy. Not much coffee. Not syrupy thick like many imperial stouts of this ABV. Somewhat bitter finish.

Imperial Stout (2013) dbeeeer

12/14/13. Slightly sweet, ash, roast. Surprisingly high thickness/mouthfeel for the age (9.5 years). Good imperial stout, again especially for the age.

Belgian Twist dbeeeer

BOTTLED ON: 02.10.22 1419 2. Doing well for the age. Mostly expected Belgian/tripel (banana) flavor but the agave is probably making this less enjoyable for me. Regular sugar or (gasp) honey would be preferred. Overall good. Also pictured: pizza poolish

Mothership Series Barrel-aged Marvelroast dbeeeer

Bottled On: 01.13.23 1143 6 11.1% alc./vol. Light but kind of creamy and has coffee flavor.

Chocolate Cherry KBS dbeeeer

Bottled On: 12.06.22 0145 6. Chocolate and coffee forward with just enough cherry that you can taste it, but not too much. Quite good.

Cloyingly sweet and flavored. I had 3 oz and that was plenty

Quite good! Malty caramel side, clean, a little sweet.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge dbeeeer

Bottled On: 10.15.20 0051 6. Strong chocolate [fudge] and coffee flavor. Quite good and ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts very delicious. Happy Memorial Day!

The most harsh/bitter. My least favorite so far. Boozier, less smooth.

BOTTLED ON: 03.09.21 0338 2. Bike ride cut short because rain. Then I felt like having a barleywine! This is on the very roast and semi low bitterness scale for the style. Still quite good. Kind of chocolatey.

Such chocolate! Very tasty roast chocolate coffee flavor. Got some boozy burn.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) dbeeeer

10.15.20 0051 6. Aroma strongly leads with fudge and maybe a tiny hint of maple. Super smooth, no alcohol burn. Flavor has a little roast and little to no maple & barrel. Lingering cocoa powder flavor with slight sweetness. Tasty but I prefer KBS OG.
