Wow! Been a long time since checking in one of these. It faired better than the Bear Chase. Got this after I was served another “IPA” that was definitely a lager. I miss the PNW, land of awesome beer.

A barrel-aged wheat wine ale?! Never heard of it before. Nice and sweet, mellow, and better as it warmed. Recommended. From April 29th.

These must be good luck. 20+ years since their last Stanley Cup victory, the Avs pulled it out in Game 6 vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning. So great. Happy for the players and organization. 😁🥅🏒

Four Giants And the Haze of Destiny
Forgot about this one from last week. Solid imperial hazy. Tasted nice. I liked the original version of the Four Giants, so I wasn’t surprised that this was good. Another beat down by the Avs in game 2. Frankieeeee!

Bottled on March 22, 2022, this year’s version seemed a little more thin than in the past. Maybe it needs to sit a bit longer. I got a couple of 4-packs of this the other day, so we’ll see. Taste is still fantastic, however.

Just finished the last one of my stash earlier this week. These are great sipper’s as they warm up. This one was bottled almost a year ago. It still tasted great. Looking forward to grabbing some more this year.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)
Sooo, I’ve had quite a few of these now that I haven’t checked in. Until tonight, they’ve been fine. Tasted better tonight. Still a bit bitter with pronounced cinnamon. Maybe getting better with age. This was bottled in Sept. 2021. Nice Zags Win tonight!

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter
This was interesting. Almost tasted like bubblegum at first taste. As it warmed up it got better, but it tasted like Founders just mixed a bunch of their barrel-aged beers together to make one beer. Got this at the North Seattle Total Wine, not Lynnwood.

I’m so behind on checkins, it’s a bit ridiculous, kind of like Belicheck’s kid’s faces during Sunday night football. This was great. Sweet sipper.

Followed up the Curmudgeon with this. Preferred the Curmudgeon actually. Love Founders Barrel-aged series beers. Really hard to beat.

Holy smokes! I had this on Monday. I was worried about it being heavy on the grapefruit, but I was pleasantly surprised. Another great sipper.

This was definitely sweet at first, BUT this was still really nice. I agree JV and JS that this isn’t as good as the original, but I liked it. Thanks JV for this one.

From March 2nd after hanging with quatro. Bought this back in Spokane this past summer. Finally felt like a good night to try it. Kind of creamy with subtleties of vanilla and coffee. I liked it, but it’d be weird to drink more than one of these at a time

Had this with Christmas dinner tonight. Tasted great albeit maybe a bit young; they were bottled last month. Got a four-pack of these. Looking forward to seeing how the others age.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)
Bottled on Feb. 5,2019. Consumed on Dec. 24,2020. This stout is okay. A bit stronger on the coffee taste this time around. Enjoyed Silver City’s BBAged Old Scrooge barleywine more than this one.

From two nights back. Bottled in September 2018, this was different. Syrah-grape “must” added. You could taste the wine-like flavor. You’d think blending wine and a barrel-aged stout would be great, but I wasn’t overly impressed.

This was great. Right amount of espresso, not overpowering. Still a great bourbon barrel-aged beer. Surprised to see the Raiders upset the Saints this evening.

These are great. Finally found some at Elizabeth Station! It must be the tequila barrels that provide the subtle burn as this goes down the hatch. Full flavored. Enjoyed this after completing the assembly of the redesigned wine fridge enclosure.
