Interesting! Syrupy character but not cloying. Almost fruity in its high notes. Lovely spiciness. Doesn't seem as boozy as it is.

Doing a small vertical with the 2018 and this year, I think the 2018 has aged better. A bit richer in flavor and a bit fuller in body than this. This is still pretty good tho' 🍻

Mmm... Haven't had KBS in an age or two, but it's still good! Dark, intense, and delicious!

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend W

This one is very wine-y, lots of the character of the barrel, slightly tannic finish. I like this one least of the four bottles in the tasting box, but it's still good. Pairs nicely with a 2OT playoff hockey game 🍻🏒

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend W

Bracingly sour, a touch astringent at first. Very young-tasting; tart apple in the nose. Lightly funky. It's delicious 🍻

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 92 Mono Blend W

In contrast to yesterday's geuze, this one is drier with no young fruit flavors but with lovely grape-y/wine-y character.

I wish we had tried this not while we were watching things on TV so I could have given the tasting experience my undivided attention. That said, this was delicious, smooth and fruity, with particular notes of tart apple.

Goddamn, this is just so good. I unironically was like "this is the champagne of beer" after my first mouthful. Delicious funk, a cider-like quality, just, unf.
