Absolutely delightful chocolate-coffee-bourbon bomb! I'd guess the age has thinned the body somewhat and brought some vinous, portish aspects into play, some dried fruit, some tobacco perhaps. Becomes noticeably boozy after a while. 4.3

Sloopkogel TIPA Pamplemousse

Boozy tangerines and some other citrus mixed with something tropical, sweet oats with bitter peels. Some gooseberries in the mix also. Deceptively drinkable despite the slight booziness. 3.9

Nice spice and honey concoction, vineous with slightly rough/hot finish. 3.8

Bottled in december, shouldn't be too old for this type of beer. Nice piney floral stuff to start with, but there is a massive stale undertone. 3.3

Coffee dominates, all the other lovely bits aren't necessarily lost, but I fail to see the utility of these adjunct heavy iterations of a lovely beer that needs no changes. 4.0

Black currant juice concentrate, twigs and leaves included, sweet and tart. Very little honey aspects appear under the dominating black currant. 3.8

Another fruit skin hop bomb; a bomb to absorb all the negatives, positives, everything. This here for a mediocre world! 3.8

Basic KBS is there, but somewhat ruined by overwhelming cinnamon. Aftertaste is nothing but lingering cinnamon. 3.7

Sour cherries on top of sweet body, something spicy and vanilla-like on the background. Sour finish. And sweet. 3.8

Sweet maple syrup, licorice and chocolate nose, taste follows faithfully and smoothly. Smooth and delicious start to The Night Comes for Us (2018). 4.3

Lots of floaters, very ugly. Aroma of orange marmalade and pine needles, sweet taste of orange pith and booze. Canned may 06, feels tired. 3.6

Oak and minimal amounts of apricot, nice mouth puckering tartness. Oak dominates. Disappointing. 3.9

Lovely aroma of stewed fruit and oaken whiskey caramel, taste adds brown sugar in to the mix. Tasty and strong sipper that disappears dangerously fast down the throat. 4.4

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal Pamplemousse

Lovely spicy cherry funk on the nose, a touch of vinegar, dry body of cherry flesh without meat, some... oak. 4.0

Winter Hexagon Pamplemousse

Dangerously drinkable stuff, but everything turns to sharp and bitter fruit skins; mango peels, apricot peels, orange peels and pith; fluffy and somewhat minty sweet finish. 3.9

Metamorfose Pamplemousse

Looks like hop milk; gooseberries & oat milk with something green and tropical, juicy and soft. Nice tingling bitter finish that cuts the sweetness, slightly chalky. Strata, Galaxy & Nelson Sauvin, not my favourite hop combination, but love the base. 3.9

Irsai Olivér Pamplemousse

Practically no honey apparent, like drinking a lightly bubbly white wine. Some nice fruity aspects here and there, mostly pear. Dry. 3.5

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018) Pamplemousse

Dried and dark fruit with a bit of toffee, quite prominent bitterness finishes everything. Barrel blends well. Background noise provided by Terveet Kädet - Ääretön joulu (infinite christmas). 4.1

Smooth hop sugar with citrus and stone fruit aspects, mellow pellety finish. 4.0

Sweet citrus and chewy caramel all the way through with sharp bitter finish. Bourbon barrel is there, but not in your face, melding nicely. 3.9

George Bourbon BA Pamplemousse

Bourbon vanilla caramel blast, coffee with bitter buttery chocolate finish. Lovely stuff (overpriced, though). 4.3

Monk's Brew Pamplemousse

Fresh yeast candy aroma, soft and smooth, bits of herbal licorice, some sugary elements without actually feeling that sweet. 4.1 (BW 7/14)
