Horrible as an IPA, but fantastic as an American barleywine :) Sherry, brown sugar, light citrus, long warming finish. A great beer to hide away for 5+ years

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout (2017) McCaffrey

Miles Davis' Bitches Brew McCaffrey

Aged, bomber from Kev. No year- maybe 2017 per the man. Smooth, thin body, warm honey finish. Very good

Beer Geek Breakfast McCaffrey

Had years ago, an older bottle from wherever he was brewing in Europe at the time. Meh. This 4 month old can from San Diego is delicious. Rich coffee flavors over complex malts, creamy mouthfeel, no off notes.

Curmudgeon Old Ale (2016) McCaffrey

Mellow molasses, caramel, light vanilla, balancing piney hops, warming finish. Maybe a little thin after 5+ years but still very good.

Sweet, still hot, raisins, light caramel, warming finish.

Olde School (2011) McCaffrey

Sweet, little smoky?, thin but good heat. Got to celebrate this flyers win streak :) Solid brew at 10 years

Does age well. Maybe best at about the 5 year mark IMO? But this has a great sherry flavor, caramel, little toffee, good warmth at the back end. Not harsh at all. Little thin, definitely mellowed. Worth a taste for sure

Immort Ale (2016) McCaffrey

Great balance of maple, smoke, and rich malts. After 5+ years, not getting any alcohol burn, very smooth, long lingering sweet smoky finish. Wow

Olde School (2010) McCaffrey

Tons of dried fruit, mellow carb. Sweet but not syrupy. Warming finish. Great sipper
