Backwoods Bastard (2018) Bartz
Apparently I didn't check this vintage in some how lol. Not sure where those bottles went but regardless this has aged beautifully in my "cellar" and is smooth and sweet with a hint of oxidation. Truly a sublime beer.

I see a Blueberry variant of a dark beer I enjoy and I'm going to try it. And I really enjoy this as well. At first the Blueberry didn't come through but as it warmed the fruit really came through with a nice jamminess that lingers nicely.

I'm definitely getting more of the dark fruit notes but there is still a definite heat that won't go away.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Bartz
This is going on 3 years old and it's still a good beer but it doesn't have the pop of flavor that it had when fresh which is to be expected. Still it's rich and flavorful while being less heavy than a lot of imperial stouts. Has a nice Bourbon spice too.

It's a porter party! Time to actually go through all the older beer I've stocked up on lol. Quite similar to the previous beer in terms of adjuncts used but it's definitely less bitter and more vanilla forward.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Bartz
Didn't even have one from the 4 pack when I bought them four long years ago but this has matured superbly. Rich and sweet with a long drying finish. Still has heft to it as well.

I've been holding onto this since 2017 and figured it was finally time to open it up. It was way too hot back when I first had it and there is still a bit of heat but it has definitely mellowed. Could honestly have sat longer lol.

Bottle Shop Series: Nemesis Bartz
This is a beer I've been interested in trying for awhile and considering it's non barrel aged life it's something I haven't had much of recently. I really dig this and it should only get better with age. #BIL

I didn't realize this would be 9.2%. I figured it would be closer to 7% although it drinks pretty smooth. Has a bit of heat though which comes through after the sweetness. Founders is always solid with their barrel aged program.
