N: Rich & sweet with bourbony aromas of dark chocolate, stewed fruits, oak and subtle coffee notes. P: The Blueberry is at the forefront and it's almost too much. Overly sweet bordering on cloying. I wanted to love this one but the balance misses the mark

N: Cherry cordial, oak, leather and fresh baked brownies. P: Not overly sweet, follows the nose with some coffee added. Oak influence rounds out the finish. Excellent.

Hoppy caramel bomb. Much better than the 1st Time I had it.

Virtually no head. Coffee aroma as expected. For a KBS it's OK but the bar is already high. If you like a coffee forward Imperial Barrel Aged this is great, enough sweet cocoa and winey booze to round it out.

Bitter forward, floral, juicy haze & faint tropical fruits as it leads into a fairly malty denouement. Personally prefer my IPAs crisp and bright.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) U
N: Coffee, toasted almond, leather, fudge & oak. P: Molten lava cake, boozy cherry cordial, almond latte, brown sugar, subtle oak Barrel dryness on the finish. Very very sweet, borderline cloying.

Lemon, strong white wine, subtle caramel malt backbone. A bit of bay leaf and soft hop on the finish. It's unfortunate how dominant the booze is, overshadows everything else. Totally unbalanced but certainly robust.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) U
750ml. N: Maple, Coffee Bean, Oak, Vanilla, Booze. P: Thick, creamy and inviting; cherry, chocolate chip, oak, vanilla, molasses; faint cinnamon, smoky cayenne and anise finish. Not overly boozy, perfect carb for the expression.

N: All charred Bourbon barrel T: Caramel, heavy vanilla, sweet maple syrup, coffee malt, touch of medjool dates & cherry, subtle milk chocolate finish. Lacks bitterness, isn't cloying, right amount of carbonation. Victory at Sea High West look out. 4.4
