Citrus Squall Beggs

Odd sweet syrupyness with a flavor reminiscent of blue cheese as if something went wrong somewhere.

Breakfast Stout (2023) Beggs

Delicious stouted grains with a sweet malt and crisp effervescence. Wonderful coffee with a note of bitterness yet it's balanced by the smooth creamy oats. Cocoa tannins create a nice dry finish, although somewhat astringent.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Beggs

Dry dark chocolate fudge in a crisp malted stout. Notes of oak barrel tannins and a faint bourbon on the finish. Some creaminess comes in at the tail end of the crisp astringent effervescence that adds to the overall rich piece of good chocolate vibe.

Breakfast Stout Beggs

Delicious dark roasted grains and malty richness. Astringent oak tannins followed by a warming bourbon and coffee dryness. Crisp effervescence balanced by the foamy smoothness.

KBS Hazelnut (2022) Beggs

Very nice nutty punch at the start yet it then becomes dry and woody oak tannins in a light base. Needs some Plantation Rum to bring out a caramel rich finish.

Lightly tart and slightly salty otherwise not much flavor. Like a LaClaw.

KBS Hazelnut Beggs

Delicious rich hazelnut in a dry darkly roasted malt. Cocoa and coffee add to the dryness avoiding a potential sweet syrup situation. Notes of molasses and dry grapes. Finishes with an oak tannin that masks the high ABVs

Blushing Monk Beggs

Kir Royale meets lager. Clean raspberry in a soda pop base with a finish of malts and light hops (just enough to cut the sweetness).

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022) Beggs

Nice sweet malts and deep oak barrel aged tannins. Delicious chocolate cocoa and a hint of walnut. A tad harsh on the finish that ends with a watery drying wood.

4 Giants Hazy IPA Beggs

Hoppy bitter water. Earthy astringent bitterness.

Red's Rye IPA Beggs

Grapefruit rind with a dry grain finish. Notes of caramelized malt in the creamy head get swept under the bitterness of the hops and become a distant memory.

Más Agave Prickly Pear Beggs

Delicious sweet agave flavor with a crisp tart prickly pear. Slightly dry finish yet not enough to cut the syrupy soda pop vibe. Slightly flat.

Barrel-Aged Nemesis Beggs

Decadent rich boozy Jameson-like with a licorice and dry oak wood complexity. Sweet malts and a hint of port.

Brandy Barrel-Aged Big Luscious Beggs

Cerveza La Sombre Beggs

Roasted dark grains with a sweetie maltyness finishing as a dry caramel with hints of toffee and oats.

Sweet malts and hints of Hefeweizen like clove and banana flavors. Smooth crisp effervescence on the finish.

Mango Gose Beggs

Nice sweet mango with a creamy finish. Tart yet not too much.

Más Agave Grapefruit Beggs

Delicious. Rich tequila and smooth sweet grapefruit juice.

All Day IPA Beggs

Decent malts help to balance the hops taste at the start. Notes of earthy tea tannins and faint citrus oil in the middle are unfortunately overwhelmed by the bitter astringency of the pine resins. Too bad it has to finish.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Beggs

Very dry stout with a cinnamon forward stance yet the cinnamon is not burning or Michaels store obnoxious. Strong alcohol with dark roasted astringent cocoa. No vanilla to speak of. The oaky barrel comes through although you’d never know it was bourbon

Delicious sweet salty agave flavor with a faint smoky piña taste. Malts and a lime tartness mix well on the finish. Light effervescence and even lighter drying humulene that adds a counter point to the sugar

Wonderful tequila barrel flavor with a soft tannin and malty sweet grapes. Very understated tart grapefruit in this batch with more of a salty hit than I remember. Finishes with a crisp effervescence and creamy consistency. Very complex and very well done

All Day Vacay Beggs

Wonderful malty lager with a crisp effervescence and grainy sweetness. Light hops add a dry note without any bitterness. Tea and biscuits flavor the finish.

Más Agave Grapefruit Beggs

Delicious sweet agave flavor with a nice malt and grapefruit juice tartness to balance the nectar. Light saltiness adds the margarita vibe although the deep wood and fermented spirits imparts a richness reminiscent of a well aged tequila.

Wonderfully rich darkly roasted malts and dry lightly bitter oak tannins as the hallmark of a good stout. Notes of coffee with a finish of a nice clean cocoa dryness.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) Beggs

Crisp coffee and bourbon with a striking oak barrel astringency. Warming alcohol and a hint of cocoa along with some caramel and licorice notes and a wonderful layered complexity to make a fine breakfast beverage.

Wonderful rich bourbon and coffee with deep roasted raisin brandy and caramel boozyness. Smooth oak barrel tannins and cocoa dryness that cuts the sweetness nicely and avoids any syrupyness
