One of the better recent KBS variants. Sweet and berry is there but not enough chocolate and overall not as good as what KBS once was

More cinnamon than maple but well balanced

Not a lot of cherry and just ok

One of the OGs in the barrel game. Still good but it’s fallen off for the last few years. Not nearly as fuggy or hot and more coffee as I remember it in the early days

Faded in well Not much maple but a lot of good flavor melting together

Just doesn’t hold up too well after a few years. Heat is still there but it kind of has a nickel taste to it now

6mo check in. Still a 4 but a little smoother and good chocolate actionable less roasty. KBS is good but fading over the last few releases vs past years

Panther Cub (2021) Samek

Real velvety chocolate beer no heat and a little of the oak comes through from the barrel. Not getting a ton of maple and a little vanilla action

Good chocolate as expected but there is a metallic finish on it now. It’s good but KBS is kind of falling off a bit from what it once was for some reason

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Samek

Not a ton of maple or heat and for me isn’t close to CBS. It’s fine and has some decent deep chocolate to it, but it’s just not in the same ballpark as the base KBS from past years or the recently 86’ed CBS

Maple coming out more and the heat is pretty much gone. Roasted notes still there and aging well in general...heat turned up as it warmed
