Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Allan
Vertical taste test: 2023 (left) vs 2018 (right). Both very similar but 2018 was a bit smoother and a tad more chocolatey. Excellent.

Vertical taste test: 2023 (10/12/23) vs 2018 (2/22/18). Surprisingly very similar, 2018 a bit smoother but not by much. Both exceptional beers.

New source for achieving the goal: so many beers from the past that I never bothered to check in. 60 Minute (the 90 and Ragin’ Bitch are two others) is one of those classics. Big hop nose, clean crisp balanced finish 👍

Black and sweet just like French Toast! Vanilla and maple syrup and even confectioner’s sugar taste comes through big time.

Looks like a Trippel, smells like a Trippel but sweeter than a Trippel… not bad but not a “real” Belgian.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 11.9% Allan
Wow. Perfect. Aroma is kinda woody, tobacco maybe. A bit warm on the tongue but beautiful smooth finish; no bitterness. Kinda coffee tasting and delicious!

Interesting. Brown ale comes through with chocolate coffee and vanilla all merging nicely. Tasty! Bourbon barrel does not overwhelm.

Wow. This is the most unique and complex beer I have had in a while! Super dark roasty in color, aroma, hint of oak (but it’s not) Excellent,
