Nose is boozy. Is difficult to distinguish the subtle cocoa and vanilla. Thick and oily, which is good. Thick. Creamy. Chocolate. Bitter coffee at the back. Ok.

On the nose the malts are biscuit and caramel, with maybe a hint of orange. Very strange for a lager. Fruity bready malts on the palate. I wouldn't say crops but there's plenty of spice.

I can't say I'm a massive fan of this. It's very thin. Yes it tastes very much of cherries but it's so, so sweet and has virtually no sour to balance it.

A lovely light beer. Pale and hazy. Fairly thin. Quite gassy. Light and citrus. Dry bitterness at the back. Drinkable.

Sharp nose initially, possibly greengage or unripe damsen, but softens to peach. murky. pale. On the palate it's thick sticky peach juice. There is bitterness but it's an afterthought. Sticky lome zing on the finish

The nose is funky and acetic up front but with sweet rhubarb behind. Golden with a hint of rose. Thicker than expected. Tart. Again there's a sweetness that comes through to balance the sharpness.

Pleasant. Cherries are there on the nose, but a bit muted. It's a lovely pale golden pink haze. It's not massively sour, and the flavours are delicate and we'll balanced - the cherries soft and the prunes more like sweet raisins.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°6 the rat
Sharp. Green apple, but slightly harsh. Carbonation is a bit high. Drying. This would really benefit from being left in a cool, dark place for a few years.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2015) the rat
Lots of dark berries on the nose - cherry, raspberry, maybe strawberry. A bit woody. Reddish tawny. Tart. Dark fruits give sweetness followed by some drying tannins.

Blizzard (In A Beer Mug) the rat
Easy drinking. Thick. Murky. Lots of tropical fruits. Slightly drying on the finish.

Rich sweet malt nose reminiscent of a quad. Tawny. Hazy. On the palate it is initially quite sweet but then has vineous sauvin with woody tannins, which are completely at odds withe sweetness. A beer of two halfs.

Light citrus nose. Tangerine. Pale. Hazy. Sensible body. Some bitterness, which is always nice to see. Not much, but enough. Bitter orange. Finish drops away quickly.

George! Barrel Aged Bourbon the rat
Chocolate vanilla nose. Beautifully thick - lovely oily film on the glass. Bourbon comes through strongly up front. If anything it dominates the favours a bit. Chocolate left towards the finish. This definitely has a Goldilocks temperature.
