Kriek Boon Bull

Never had this before apparently? Really? Another mop up of Mrs B’s leftovers. Quite earthy and subtle cherry. No real sweetness. Not bad.

Kriek Marriage Parfait (2019) Bull

Was this a good year or not? Having downed a lot of fruity beers since I last had a proper kriek I can report this was far more earthy and far less sweet than my tastebuds were expecting. Not necessarily a bad thing. Purchased somewhere in Mons, Belgium.

Gueuze (2021) Bull

Does what it says on the, er, bottle. Classic gueuze salt and vinegar tartness. Lovely.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 92 Mono Blend Bull

Another unique beer, specific barrel etc. this time red wine, giving a vinous astringency to the palate. Another supper. Ordered vat 108, for vat 92. Hey ho….

Burst Bull

Actually brewed in Belgium for Mikkeller per the can; by De Proef. Bitter, hoppy, some hints of a vegetal taste. Wasn’t sure about this at all……can’t tag the location as this was drunk somewhere over Denmark on the way to Stockholm courtesy of SAS.

Framboise Boon Bull

Way past it’s drink by date, was a bit flat and lifeless, although still got the raspberry. Made the mistake of topping up the glass with all the crap from the bottom of the bottle, this turning it into a lava lamp.

Particle Horizon Bull

Lovely rich fruit colour and a mixed tropical flavour, can’t really discern the individual elements but quite sweet. Middling sourness.
