Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022) Lowe

Birramisu Lowe

When alcohol and chocolate are dropped in your Cafe Machiato. I like it, but there is some strong coffee here.

KBS Hazelnut Lowe

I immediately got hazelnut on the smell, which I like. But on taste, the bourbon is overpowering. It just isn’t blending well with the hazelnut. Wanted to like this more.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Lowe

Boozy coffee with a hit of cinnamon. Good, if not a bit astringent on the finish.

Velvet Rush Lowe

Tastes like a nitro cold brew, lightly sweetened, with a shot of liquor. I like it. Winning grocery store purchase.

Barrel Runner Lowe

Conflicted. I like this because I like rum, but is it beer? More of a beer-rum cocktail I guess.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Lowe

Ah yes, I remember the Fudgies well, as a short-term Yooper myself. Fudge beer indeed, with a potent finish. Not as sweet as I was expecting, but a delicious warmer.

Palo Santo Marron Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Aged Lowe

Wow that is bourbon-y. Perhaps a bit too much for my taste, but lots of caramel malt that helps balance it out.

Marvelroast Lowe

Well this is a pleasant surprise. I know it is not classified as a White Stout, but that is what I feel like a white stout should taste like. Great coffee flavor with a creamy backbone. But, still has the breadiness of a Golden. Well executed.
