Centennial IPA Hickner

Starting camping a little early this year for the eclipse. It's freaking cold out in early April! Nice by the fire, though.

No big deal... just drinking a beer in the front row of a Sweet 16 game. This is quite tasty.

Nice trail. Cool little waterfall at an old dam from 1910.

All Day IPA Hickner

Another solid course, but the greens are lightning fast today. Not good for my game. Beer, however, is very good for it.

Centennial IPA Hickner

The beginning of another camping adventure. First time at Oubache SP. Looks nice so far! Gotta keep hydrated in the 90+ deg heat and humidity!

4 Giants Tropical Treasure Hickner

I wasn't sure about this at first - very sweet and fruity. It grew on me, though, and was pretty tasty by the end.

Beer, golfing, camping, and kayaking - not a bad weekend.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Hickner

Day-um! Chocolate overload! No booziness whatsoever. If it weren't so thick and rich (like me), it would be dangerously crushable.

Centennial IPA Hickner

Beautiful winter day for a hike. This is my first time on the Knobstone Trail - very nice! However, the first hill about killed me; I'm too old and fat for this shit. Replacing my fluids with delicious FCIPA.

Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru Hickner

Nice. This is quite the experience. It came in a basket. I'm not a huge lambic fan, but this is pretty special. It should be for $60/bottle!

Sweet Repute Hickner

Damn. Good strong stuff. No burn, but you can definitely sense the buzz quickly kicking in. Thanks Rob!

Unraveled IPA (2022) Hickner

Great beer! This is one of my favorite seasonal IPAs.

French Toast Bastard Hickner

Wow, this was great. A little boozy, as it should be for 11.1% ABV. Lovely maple syrup French toast flavor.

Centennial IPA Hickner

This is a MUCH different course than the last time I played it - about 20 years ago. Nice job, Mr. Dye. RIP

Centennial IPA Hickner

Really nice new park in Zionsville. It is still under construction, but many of the trails are done. The mountain bike trails look really nice but we just stayed on the paved walking trails.

Starting the pre-game for the Pitbull show tonight. Chilling at the pool with a cold one.

We got a great campsite here at Starve-Hollow - right on the water!

4 Giants IPA Hickner

This is better than I remember. Really strong but smooth [could have something to do with the fact that I'm really tired and already pretty buzzed]. Another nice little downtown Muncie pub.

Just another beautiful sprinkly day at the Grove.

KBS Hazelnut Hickner

Good but definitely not my favorite KBS variant. This has much more of a sour vibe than the rest. I don't know how much of that is the hazelnut, and how much is from the barrels or brewing.

4 Giants Hazy IPA Hickner

Strong and floral. Almost a little crunchy tasting - might be the oats and wheat. I don't LOVE the flavor, but it is awfully easy drinking for a DIPA.

Harley and I tried out a new park today - Leland Cornett Nature Park in New Ross. It is small but peaceful.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Hickner

Another great KBS! Strong but easily drinkable. Nice cinnamon and vanilla to balance out the coffee and chocolate.

Dude. It's almost 70 degrees and slightly overcast on 12/27 in Indiana! Amazing day for a long, hilly hike.

Velvet Rush (2021) Hickner

Simply delightful! Very little coffee flavor but strong on vanilla and chocolate. The lactose and barrel aging give it more of a sweet caramel taste than boozy bourbon. Not a chugging beer but also not so heavy that you can only sip it.

All Day Vacay Hickner

Not bad at all. A little light and wheaty for my taste (and alcohol requirements) but pretty decent summer refresher.

Glorious! I love this stuff. Sweet and boozy.

Underground Mountain Brown Hickner

Another great Founders! There's no way this is almost 12% ABV... I'm practically chugging this thing. I'm sure that won't backfire later, right?

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Grapefruit Hickner

Wait, what? Despite being from Founders, I didn't expect this to be something that I even finished. A grapefruit seltzer that Quentin left in the fridge? Surprisingly, it is quite tasty and refreshing, especially after push mowing the yard on a hot day.

Centennial IPA Hickner

From yesterday. I love these little old country golf courses. Rain cleared everybody else out so I (and the cicadas) had the course to myself. They don't sell beer here but actually invite you to bring your own... bonus!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Hickner

Ah, my old friend CBS. I am playing golf with my "deliberately-paced" golfing buddy Wooten, so I decided to bring a nice slow drinking beer to last a few holes.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) Hickner

Nice light lawnmower beer. Damn this stuff is great! It has been sitting in the cooler at Rusted Silo just staring at me for months. Time to show it who is boss! [I'm guessing it will end up being the boss]

Moon Rambler IPA Hickner

Noce brisk walk with little Harley. We've gone 3 miles so far and only passed one other person (and dog). We love these BFE country trails.

Moon Rambler IPA Hickner

I love Founders, but I'm always a little leery of milkshake IPAs - it's a fine balance between smooth and funky sweetness. This one is not bad, but I can definitely taste more oats, wheat, and lactose than hops. Drinkable, but I won't be buying more.

Centennial IPA (2020) Hickner

Delicious! Staycation day off work... let's get this party started! Local liquor store had 15-packs of this or Mosaic Promise for $17.49. I love them both but this has significantly higher ABV - easy choice!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Hickner

Wow, really good. Founders has certainly mastered this high gravity shit. Another winner here.

Frangelic Mountain Brown Hickner

I love this one. I think it is even better than the Breakfast Stout variants. Hazelnut coffee is the bomb.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020) Hickner

Bam! This one is huge. It's not overly boozy, but still tastes very strong. Lots of oak and coffee flavor. It is good for what it is... but it is not what I love drinking. On the bright side - quick buzz!
