Fou' Foune D'Agostino

Beautiful colour. Fairly high sourness, low funk. Sour apricot skin, lemon, vinegar. Not overly complex. I'd been searching for this beer for ages, but it didn't quite meet expectations. Super sour, mainly lemon, not much else, but still enjoyable.

I shook up the sediment by accident when I opened it. Dropped the base on the table, and it overflowed. Low sourness, medium funk. Citrus, earthy, wet wood, malt sweetness, present hops that lend a slight bitter finish. Very different cantillon variant.

Barnyard funk, lemon, white vinegar, wheat, leather, rhubarb, dry oak. Gentle carbonation, medium body. Fairly creamy mouthfeel. Medium sourness. Very light bitter note. Not overly sour or acidic. Delicate & well balanced. Tasting prime after 5 years.

Drogone Lambic D'Agostino

Fairly low sourness & acidity. Fruit forward. Chalky grape skins. Quite juicy. Fresh and tart. Light funk. Low fat greek yoghurt. Some wood and mustiness. Slight bitterness. Smooth and very drinkable, albeit not overally complex.

Japan is a beer lovers dream! So cheap! Medium sourness. Tart cherries. Light barnyard funk. Sherbet, lemon, balsamic vinegar. Crisp, dry finish. Beautifully balanced. Bench mark sour for sure. So enjoyable.

Was surprised to see this on tap at a random craft beer bar I thought I'd check out in Tokyo. Super sour. She's an enamel stripper. It's all sour raspberries with a very light touch of funk. Good, but not as balanced as you'd expect from Cantillon.
