Smooth chocolatey stout with a bit of heat. The chili is subdued but it’s there. And that’s fine, since in a beer the heat has to be just right or less. Too much heat doesn’t work for me, as I like my heat from food, not drink. 😃🍻 Thx Craig.

The Fundamental Blackhorn (2014)
Dark bitter chocolate and licorice. Might as well drink the oil, Edmonton Kool-aid, black gold, Albert tea… Go Oilers! Thx Craig.

Back to the Scandinavian beers after a diversion to Badlands #Select. Smokey but not too much, bitter dark chocolate goodness. Lots of residual roasty bitterness. This beer has aged just fine. Thx Craig.

From 2017. Very roasty, bitter chocolatey caramel with a rocky head. This one easily stood for 7yrs. Fantastic! Is it a stout or a porter tho… hmmmm. Thx Craig.

Zero carb., but the artificial cork was well-seated. So, I must have been low carbonation to begin with. I drank one of these in 2010, and while the flavour is uniquely familiar, dunno what the carb. was like back then. Tastes ok but a 14yr old.Thx Craig.

From my own cellar this time. Trying to get to the old stuff. This one has held up nicely. Still very sweet, and boozy, and wickedly complex malt.

From 2014. Held up well given the relatively low abv. Still some chili spice happening and lotsa coffee. Think it was a furnace room beer too. thx Craig.

Big Worst Barrel Aged Bourbon (2010)
Fantastic, considering my dubious cellaring conditions over the years. Heavy toffee/caramel/butterscotch and bourbon.

This is Brunswick Bierworks Canadian version. Not super juicy, but in the ball park.
