Castle Black Stout G.

Exactly what I’d expect from a beer with this name! Heavy, rich chocolate and a touch of bitterness. Excellent.

Mexas Ranger G.

Don’t know if I got a bad bottle, but this is terrible. All I get is ultra bitter chocolate malt - no sweetness at all.

Very much like drinking a white wine. Much better than expected.

Beer Hop Breakfast G.

Hadn’t had many black ipas. Interesting mix of dark malt, coffee and piney hops. Jury is still out on this one.

You know how some really strong beers don’t seem that strong when you drink them? This isn’t one of them. Booze smacks you in the face from the first sip. Nice vanilla and licorice, especially on the nose.

Spontandryhop Citra G.

Might be the best sour I’ve had. Tart, but not overly so, with lots of tropical fruit and underlying complexity.
