So, a contrast in styles… a dark stout that tastes super hoppy. There are black IPAs, and this is similar, lots of citrus notes. Not my cup of tea.

One of those beers that tastes way different cold versus when it warms to room temp, but both were delish. A rival to Maple Mackinac Fudge as my fave KBS variety.

Solid oatmeal stout. Creamy mouthfeel and roasty/chocolate-y taste. Go Panthers!

Really good, entering the Top 5 of my favorite Founder’s beers. A porter that’s heavy on maple and vanilla. Rich, luscious, and boozy.

Beer:30 couldn’t come quick enough today with these fuckin’ trumpeters storming the Capitol. What a gotdamm shame. The beer is fine. A little bitter. A little woody. Fucking trump.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Stout
Was expecting this to be overly choclatey, instead one of the most well-balanced beers I’ve ever had. Maple, Coffee, & chocolate living harmoniously.

A tequila barrel aged version of Blushing Monk. Monk I liked, this not so much. First time I’ve felt barrel aging took flavor away from a beer instead of adding to it. Tastes like a fruit wine.

coffee? yes, but subtly so. The vanilla was the hi-light, accentuating a very smooth, cream ale flavor.

Beer:Thirty at work included this harbinger of Fall. Tastes like a typical Marzen. A little bitter for me, could be malt-ier.
