Plenty of bourbon, oak, chocolate, and alcohol on the nose. Smooth mouthfeel, light carbonation, and alcohol warmth on the palate. Smooth chocolate, bourbon, a touch of bitter coffee, and vanilla forward oak. Still pretty neat

Nelson Sauvignon / Sauvin Brut Edling

What a thrill to find this gem again. Nelson sauvin hops at their best, most stone fruit laden and vinous. Add pronounced wine barrel notes and a somewhat soapy body reminiscent of a "super saison" and you've got a (this) real hit

Irish I Had Another Edling

Smooth bodied and quite light. Gentle roasted notes, light coffee, and a touch of dark chocolate. Feels like a good session stout

Fresh Hop Edling

Light and clean with a good balance between light breadiness and hops. Light grassy and floral hop notes with a touch of dry bitterness

Airport IPA Edling

Good caramel maltiness with a slight burnt touch. Zesty grapefruit, pine, and a touch of curacao. The pre-flight beer always hits right, but this is nicely old school and quite enjoyable

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edling

Very dry and quite tart. Citrus, white grapes, a touch of vinegar, old hay, oak, and cheesy and stable funk. Probably a bit mellowed with age but still a very nice and unusually dry geuze

Gueuze Mariage Parfait 2019 Edling

Makes an otherwise not overly exciting New Year's a touch better. Pleasantly dry with gentle barnyard funk, hay, citrus, light stonefruit, and refreshing mineralic notes. Ain't nothing that a sip of geuze can't fix

Ain't Rocket Science Edling

Nice and juicy with plenty of tropical fruitiness, citrus, and wheat. Pretty neat

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022) Edling

Almost overpowering bourbon on the nose, with coffee, chocolate, dark malts, and a touch of wood in the background. Somehow deceptively sweet and mellow but with a good boozy bite. Chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, coffee, dry oakiness, and almost cherry notes

45 Days Organic Pilsner Edling

Clean, quite crisp and citrusy, but still bready. Good pils.

Airport Pils Edling

Light and clean, if not exactly crisp. Moderate sweetness, both from the malts and a gentle modern hop fruitiness. Floral notes, orange blossom, light, fruity lemon and maybe even some elderflower (?)

Burst Edling

Think this is the right one. Plenty of nice orange notes, almost a bit old school orange soda, with nice bursts of citrus and some lingering grapefruit in the background. Deceptively easy drinking, would have more if I weren't about to fly.

Gammel Dansk Edling

Yeah, nah, old lager isn't exactly great. Quite herbal and somewhat bitter. Surprisingly alright

Backwoods Bastard (2017) Edling

BBF 20.07.2018, think this is the right vintage (no bottling date) Light bourbon soaked wood, subdued malts, gentle fruitiness and general oxidation on the nose. Smooth with minimal carb and noticeable oxidation. Dark fruits, caramel, molasses >>

Dirty Bastard (2017) Edling

Raisins, light notes of mixed dried fruits, oxidized dark malts and gentle madeira on the nose. Smooth and fairly light with very gentle prickly carbonation. Rather oxidized taste with dark malts, dried fruits, prunes, madeira, toffee and caramel.

Södermalm Spontan Edling

Tart and quite strongly acidic with citrus, hay, gentle lactose and general barnyard notes. Bit of a proto-geuze

Santa's Little Helper (2013) Edling

Gentle dry fruitiness, madeira, milk chocolate and gentle, dry belgo yeastiness. Smooth mouthfeel, barely any carbonation left and lasting aftertaste with well integrated alcohol.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Edling

Dark malts and whiffs of chocolate, bourbon and oak on the nose. Taste is straight forward with dark malts, fruity bourbon and dry oak. The adjuncts (coffee and cocoa) are quite faded at this point with a bit of vanilla in the aftertaste.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek (2019) Edling

Tart cherry juice, marzipany pits, almost candied skins and gentle wood notes on the nose. Nice acidity and immediate tartness with growing fruity distinct schaarbeek cherry notes. Dry wood notes, almond heavy baker's marzipan and a light rubberiness

Oude Kriek Boon à L’Ancienne (2018) Edling

Citrus, cherries and gently cheesy funk on the nose. Tart cherries, citrus rind, gentle hay and cheesy funk notes. Nice acidity and pleasant juicy cherry aftertaste

Piña Gose Edling

Pineapple forward, moderately tart, some acidity and gentle orange

K:rlek Höst/Vinter 2021/2022 Edling

Decent pale ale. Light and with a fruity hoppiness. Nothing special

Midsummer Dream 2021 Edling

Citrus (mainly lemon) and floral hoppiness on a light malt base. Easy drinking with a nice bitter bite.

Limbo Yuzu Edling

Fresh, juicy yuzu on the nose. Tart with simultaneously juicy and acidic yuzu, light lactic notes and a minimal hint of malts, mostly just providing a very light and passing sweetness. Feels more like a citrus soda than a beer, but tasty nonetheless

Spontankriek (2021) Edling

Juicy cherries, dryish-skins, gently marzipany -pits, citrus and gentle funk on the nose. Juicy and a touch jammy with maraschino cherries, citrus and gentle funk. Perhaps not as complex as traditional lambic, but quite tasty

Oude Geuze Boon - Bone Dry Mikkeller Selection (2015) Edling

Nicely developed with oxidized white desert wine notes, citrus rind, white grape notes, hay, gentle minerality, and plenty of funk. Plenty acidic, and very dry, as the label promises. However, a little thin bodied.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Edling

Sweet, dark roasted coffee, cocoa, fudge covered chocolate and oakiness with a warm finish with hints of bourbon and a fruity-ish sweetness that may or may not be maple. Big, roasty bitterness and an overall nice and filling beer. Good stuff!

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018) Edling

Much more mellow than expected, and moreso than I recall. Juicy and jammy cherries, gentle citrus, almost entirely mellowed funk, and touches of hay and almond cherry pits. Not sweet as such, but also quite low on the tartness and acidity.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2016) Edling

Moderately dry, gently funky with clear, clean, fairly gentle, acidity. Lemon, hay, barnyard funk and apricot with a surprising sweet touch in the finish.

Centennial IPA Edling

Solid AF. Sticky, dank, piney and graoefruity. A pretty complete IPA with neat bitterness and fresh citrus notes despite the travel time.

Årh Hvad?! / Hva Såå!? Edling

Pretty decent clone. Dry and yeasty with decent funkiness and some fresh grass and floral hops. Good, but not like the original.

Sundried Saison Edling

Light with moderate dry yeastiness on a sweet-ish base with only gentle floral hoppiness. A pretty standard saison but perhaps a touch too sweet for my preference
