2020 bottling BB 21/09/2022 - Even poured cold the nose reveals a highly inviting buoyant punchy candy raspberry which is sweet and rich evoking Swedish saft syrup. Drinking cool palate arrives firm and assertive though tightly wound, more balanced and >

Late social check-in, so no real notes, but a solid brew. Though not very closely resembling Rodenbach Grand Cru it gets enough of the way there to evoke the style. Certainly less delicate and nuanced than the GC but pretty substantial and flavorful.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek (2019) H
Fragrant wafts of bright tart cherry even as the still cool beer is poured. Nosing in to the glass a pungency of sour oaky wild cherry wildness fills the sinuses and stimulates the salivary glands. The bouquet is adorned with cellary funk which has yet >

Late social check-in from earlier so no details to share other than that this presented much more cleanly but less interestingly and flavorful than a bottled version of the same basic beer. It was good but not remarkable for style.

2017 bottling *poured a bit cloudy from recent transfer to fridge - I might have given it a few more days to sit. Nevertheless even poured cold this is really beautiful at first sip. Still waiting on the nose to warm the initial flavor is >

Another LCI on this (better notes NEXT next time). The mango nose on this is surprisingly huge, super fruity and a touch sour. The fruit doesn’t come across nearly as much on the palate, which again is light and easy, maybe a bit thin.

LCI - Recollection is of substantial pithy bitterness, bright refreshing citrus, oily lemon, possibly a touch of soapiness.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2019) H
Quiet mellow ~syrupy subtle cherry sweetness upon cool open gradually gives way to musty wood, vinegar, band-aid, tart acid. Palate is sharp, highly tart, acidic, dry, a study in contrasts: stimulatingly sour juiciness over drying oaky finish. (cont.) >

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) H
BD 201021 17mo evinces integration, relative subtlety, tho still highly expressive. In nose acidity and mild farmhouse/pastorality, cool cellar, mustiness, wet clay, minerality bridging fruit and structure carried in mouth. Delicate tartness, dry oak, >

LCI - Solid brew, stylistically not to my tastes. Enjoyable enough.

Nose of inviting dark chocolate, semi saccharine berry penetrating high in sinus, n oil. Mouth semi granular mix of same evoking bitter flavored chocolate. Modest roast, slightly thin, ~artificial raspberry dominance overrides a mellower but better beer

Roasty chocolate milk boozy nose, light oil slick mf delivers semi cloying sweetness. I was hoping for more maple, and tho perfectly happy to indulge a sweet tooth or two the sweetness n booze are throwing me a bit. Warmed this, might’ve been better coolr

Even lighter than I recalled, with just slightly vinous character I don’t recall from precisely tastings. Elderberry is faintest hint medicinal but seems one of the best aspects of the beer.
