Azacca IPA Connors

Very fresh hop aroma. Leaning towards cannabis. Mildly bitter partially fruity. Tropical notes slowly show up. Neat IPA.

KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) Connors

Smells of standard KBS fare. Something different - astringent? I can only tell that there is capsaicin due to the label. Nothing like the heat of ghost face killah or even the cayenne dragon’s milk. Still a good if lacking in punch / depth KBS entry. Warm

Nitro Imperial Breakfast Stout Connors

Very coffee forward aroma. No real sweetness. Very unique malt flavor quite unlike other BS entries. Nice to see a flavor adjunct free heavy stout. Simple and drinkable. Smoothness from nitro is great.

The Headless Gourdsman Connors

Smells thick, heavy, and sweet. Sweetness leads with a lot of pumpkin spices. There is a bite of the bourbon but overall it is pretty smooth. Pumpkin favor is there but the bourbon / spices / syrup kind of drowns out its mellow flavor. Nice take!

KBS Blueberry Connors

Aroma is mostly like standard KBS. Coffee / chocolate / vanilla. First sip brought sourness along with it. Some blueberries are sweet, others are sour. Not sure the fruit matches the beer. Bourbon more warming than 11% suggests. Ok, but not the best.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Blackberry Lemonade Connors

Smells like the other mas agave lemonade. Tastes of mild blackberry. Still on the semi-sweet but partly dry side. Refreshing for one, but the sweetness may kill it for multiples.

Más Agave Imperial Lemonade Hard Seltzer Connors

Smells kind of like what I recall Mike’s Hard Lemonade smelling like. Mild sweetness, mostly dry and refreshing. 8% very well hidden. Clear with a bit of opaque quality. In the world of seltzers, definitely top shelf. I hope they keep it in production.

Velvet Rush Connors

Coffee aroma dominates this one by a mile. For a brown ale (imperial though it is) the sweetness is high. Quite smooth and creamy and the chocolate is there as well. Relatively light body vs expectation for the ABV it packs. Alcohol well hidden too.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Connors

Unbelievably thick aroma and the ingredient bill is all there. Cinnamon and vanilla are very forward. Doesn’t seem overly sweet. Alcohol burn follows each sip. Very well melded while keeping each of the distinct flavors noticeable.

Mango Magnifico Connors

Mellow mango aroma. Slightly sweet body and light heat. Better off the heat beers that I’ve had but not mind blowing. The 10% is well hidden. Slight bitterness but I’m not sure where from. There is a lingering tropical fruit and heat interesting.

Sweet Repute Connors

Sweet maple syrup greets on pour. Very subdued hops - good! Sweet body of malts and syrup is nice. Burn at end of whiskey? Light amber coloring with lots of floaty sediment? Picking up coconut? Very nice but unique wheat wine. Need to stock up on this!

KBS Hazelnut (2022) Connors

Very heavy hazelnut aroma seamlessly blends with KBS original notes. First sip brings a very slightly sweet bodied roasted nutty flavor to the palate. Wow, very well melded deep flavor. I think that this is the best flavor choice thus far, CBS aside.Bravo

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Connors

BS day 6. Easily the most unique aroma. Cinnamon followed by vanilla are omnipresent. Semi-sweet but decently melded flavors. Bourbon on the nose is still there though. Perhaps a bit too pronounced flavor profile for a BS. Bitterness of cocoa / grain.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Connors

BS day 3. Thick fragrant coffee on first smell. Quite sweet vs. KBS. Very mellow melded flavors including dried fruits. Offers a sweet start, complex middle, and bitter finish. Sweetness is natural and mild. Extremely enjoyable. Simply a perfect beer.

KBS Connors

BS Day 2. Intoxicating deep chocolate aroma. Coffee in handfuls too. Well melded flavors with great backbone of heavy malt. Mild added sweetness vs. base BS. Bitterness hidden by this. Bourbon warming is there too. The king / original remains good!

Breakfast Stout Connors

BS day 1. Chocolate and coffee is there. Quite heavy aroma. Pours heavy. Mostly bitter from coffee and roasted malt flavor. No real sweetness to speak of - cocoa vs. chocolate? Relatively high ABV does warm in between sips. Lack of depth. Good base start!

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Connors

As is always with KBS super pungent chocolate and coffee aromas upon pour. 2021 sees a lighter body and slightly stronger bite. Perhaps this is due to immaturity or increased production or maybe in my head? In any case still excellent. Warming is there!

Más Agave Prickly Pear Connors

Unknown berry aroma. Very unique flavor profile; haven’t had prickly pear for a while though. Sweet as expected, with a tiny amount of pucker. Salty is there. Tequila afterburn is present. Actually rather mellow compared to the others in the series.

Más Agave Grapefruit Connors

Very strong tequila aroma. Citrus is there, not sure if grapefruit. Mellow but present sweetness. Medium amber with subdued carbonation post pour. The tequila really takes front stage as the beer warms, with each successive sip. A good entry in the series

French Toast Bastard Connors

Aroma triggered memories of syrup slathered pancakes / French toast / waffles! Aunt Jemima more than maple. As expected very sweet backbone. Alcohol pronounced. Smooth and light bodied which is unexpected. Almost has a light spice - hint of cinnamon?

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Grapefruit Connors

Aroma of grapefruit, though not overly strong. Very light grapefruit / alcohol taste. Hazy pinkish pour. Low carbonation after poured. I think I like the lime > strawberry > grapefruit. Still a good refreshing entry by Founders into this popular category.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Lime Connors

Heavy lime aroma and faintly reminiscent of a margarita. I know it isn’t there, but I want to think there is tequila. Very little sweetness. Mostly dry and refreshing. Great entry into the seltzer arena. I’d choose this over white claw / truly.

Frangelic Mountain Brown Connors

Smells like roasted hazelnut coffee. Tastes like... well, roasted hazelnut coffee. For 9%, it doesn’t have a huge alcohol taste. Bitter finish. Sweet during each mouthful. Very dark amber pour with decent head. A good coffee choice when KBS is gone.
