Beautiful mahogany pour w/a solid tan crown. Light woodiness, touch of smokiness & toffee up front; alcohol warmth leads the taste, but quickly fades to reveal roasted malts & dark chocolate. Mouthfeel not as full as it appears; lingering bitter finish.

Boozy bourbon & maple syrup aromas are making their acquaintance as soon as the bottle was opened; a second whiff reveals chocolate, coffee & vanilla. Taste follows w/maple leading the way, brown sugar & roasted malts. Creamy texture; alcohol-warm finish.

2019 Release...Another that was purchased just one week ago at Total Wine. Despite holding up well, got to wonder that’s going on with Total Wine selling old beer at inflated 2020 prices?!?
