Zwanze 2020 - Brettrave

Lambic - Fruit

This year, we wanted to return to our roots, which inspired the special blend for Zwanze 2020: Lambic with beetroot! The beer's color is intensly red, fluorescent even, and the nose is fruity yet quite earthy. The palate is complex, a nice balance between the acidity of the Lambic and the roundness of the beetroot.

Not as savage acid as some other lions, and beetroot is adding a nice sweetness and earthiness.

Dry, earthy, nice beetroot flavor coming through. Lovely blend of flavors, balanced tartness, subtle cantillon funk.

Love it, maybe because I love beetroot but I think it's perfectly balanced and has a crazy funk.

Late check of last year. Experimental batch of Beetroot lambic, before it was decided to brew a new one as Zwanze 2020...
