Smoke a little more muted than I remember but there’s a lot going on here. Hard to pick out the individual flavours but boy do they come together well. A lovely throwback

Limited sourness. Sweet fruitiness with light effervescence. Delish.

50°N-4°E (2022) R

Very smooth. Barrels noticeably adding character through richness and sweetness. Low carbonation.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2003-2004) R

Love this. Held up so well over 20 years. Punchy but still very drinkable. Layers of sourness.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2015) R

Less impactful than when fresh I think. This is mellow with soft raspberry.

Sang Bleu (2023) R

Smells odd but tastes lovely. Creamy fruitiness. Quite jammy.

Light on the fruit. Quite acidic. Punchy

The cherry is polite in this. But present.

All barnyard on the nose, but so much more fruity on the palate. Delicious.

Very young. Low carbonation. A purity in the other flavours.

A great Christmas beer. Perfect relief from the ongoing stouts

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021) R

Super dry. Lightly flavoured. Refreshing. Probably shouldn’t have been beer 7 in a 9 beer tasting.

Much better than previous versions in my opinion. A little bit sweeter. A wonderful beer. Linking forward to that vertical Victoria M.

Marvellous. Sweet. Bright. Really fruit forward.

Super interesting but much more mellow than expected. No harshness from the cherries. Less impactful as a result. Interesting.

Drogone Lambic (2019) R

Quite a thick and rounded lambic. Not sharp or precise. Quite mellow. Deep red wine influence but the chestnut barrels must have added the body, to a degree.

Zwanze 2020 - Brettrave R

Beetroot forward. Clean flavoured delicious.

George! Barrel Aged Bourbon R

Chocolate on the nose. Barrels up front on the palate then chocolate and then booze. Not too sweet. Well balanced. Gorgeous.
