The second Christmas porter from Mikkeller. A spiced porter with fine malt background and lovely hop aroma and flavor. The label is designed as a ‘From To’ card – fill in the names and put the bottle under the Christmas tree. The perfect gift for the lazy man/woman…! Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, smoked, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), roasted barley, dark cassonade, hops (amarillo, saaz and cascade), spices (star anise, clove, cinnamon and coriander seeds) and yeast.

Not sure if 2 different vintages or same year different breweries/packaging? Need to research. Mikkeller was a gypsy brewer back then. Left, corked & caged: Predictably oxidized (see next). Near still. Lots of chocolate. Def differs from on tap fresh.

На носу совсем немного чувствуются специи, буквально чуть-чуть.Жженка домнирует чуть кофе, немного карамели, довольно сухо для таких ттх. Без кислинки, что радует. Вполне себе портер, качественный,но без изюменки. С моими имбирными печенюхами норм зашёл😏

Zo, deze komt wel binnen. Koffie-achtig, steranijs komt duidelijk naar voren. Wat zurig in de geur, met donker schuim. Zwart van kleur, met stipjes van de specerijen. Geen doordringen en niet naar ieders smaak. Technisch in orde, maar iets te ver gegaan.
