Stovepipe. This is good. Founders plays it right down the middle. You could tell me this is a hazy from any number of national level craft breweries and I’d believe you.

Tastes great! Piney but a bright piney taste. Similar to juniper or spruce. Slightly grassy. Thanks, Jon!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) E
Great nose/thin head/some lacing. Body thinner than I remember. Not getting much coffee. Sweeter with less barrel character. Bitter chocolate lingers. Still very good.

When Life Gives You MANGO Make Milkshake IPA! E
I don’t normally like milkshake ipas. They tend to be too flabby and too sweet. Candy for kids that don’t like beer. Life Gives You Mango is lean at 5.5% with enough bitterness to make it work. A trick and a treat. Thanks Jon!

I still prefer the original Porter, but this is a nice night cap to a long weekend. Thanks, Chris!

Amongst the last of the great labels. NM the clip art bbq apron they’re using now.

Tasting at the barn bar. This was really well done. No one flavor overpowered.

Smells fantastic! It’s borderline too sweet with the barrel character lost in the adjuncts. The body also seems thin compared to BWB but I’d have to do a side by side. I’ll lay one down for Christmas and age the other two to see if it evens out.

Gushed on opening. Poured into a tulip. Fairly aggressive carbonation. I’m a fan of tripels, but not into the agave twist here. It has nice lacing and a big Belgian nose.

My first official Atlantic Watch event is in the books. Thank you to the brave men and women who have served our country home and abroad.

Haven’t had Red’s Rye in awhile, but this seems like a session version.

Mother’s Day at brother in law’s. If it’s not ALL, it’s wheat, fruit, pumpkin, Cape May or some combination of those.

I’ve only had double trouble as far as I recall. This is very good w classic American bitterness. Definitely see the DT influence. Side note: I had one of the best beers I ever tasted at PBW13. BA Cashew Mountain Brown.

Very fresh. Very bitter. So glad founders found a way to make this again. I’ll age the other bottle and see how this develops.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2008) E
Much better than the Flanders. Also, surprisingly held up well compared to other vintages. The coffee is still assertive and there’s still some carbonation.

Holiday Ale From To (Til Fra via Mikkeller) E
Not sure if 2 different vintages or same year different breweries/packaging? Need to research. Mikkeller was a gypsy brewer back then. Left, corked & caged: Predictably oxidized (see next). Near still. Lots of chocolate. Def differs from on tap fresh.
