Green Gold

IPA - American

Green gold - one of the oldest Mikkeller recipes, Green Gold is our take on the classic West Coast IPA, back from when they were just called IPAs. This means a well pronounced hop character, a distinguished malty back bone, and a noticeable bitter finish. The beer pour slightly amberish green, and sticking your nose into the glass should remind you of how IPAs used to smell before everything became, well, hazy.

Poured a clear copper with a white head. Aroma, citrus and grassy hops, some orange and pineapple. Flavor, a bit bready, some yeasty notes, and citrus hops, nice bit of bitterness. Quite good.

West coast. Mer blomster og honning på duft. Malt, honning, banan og melon også i smak. Fruktigere enn på flaske som var bitrere og her finner jeg noe som minner om maple syrup i avslutningen. Løfter den litt i poeng.
