Big malt sweetness, 15 + yrs old. Some “play-doh” oxidation. Which is standard for old Barleywines. 12% American version but English is 18.5%!!

I'm still unsure about this one. I got a coffee flavor on the first sip, but it's pretty tasty. Very dark and rich.

Even een biertje drinken na dat getetter met de zusters. Er zitten wel wat kloet'n in 'n pap, maar dat drukt de pret niet. Voor een champagnebier is deze ontzettend dik en stevig. Een soort gezoete, spicy hoestdrank. Ook een ontzettend stevige schuimkraag

One a day historical check in, drank September 2009. Aromas of caramel, roasted malts, sweet spices, licorice, a lot going on in there! Flavours Of burnt caramel, forest fruits, dark chocolate, brown sugar. Warming slightly bitter finish. Very nice.
